Responsible Gambling at Winspirit

Gambling should be a paid form of entertainment, not a way out of a tight week. This page lays out every tool we provide to keep your play in your control, the exact thresholds and timing of each, and the AU support services to call if play has stopped being fun. We don't bury this content behind a single line in the footer — it's a working page, and you can act on every item from your account in under a minute.

The Tools You Can Set Yourself

All of these live in Account → Responsible Gambling and can be set before or after your first deposit.

Deposit Limits

Cap how much you can deposit across a rolling window. Three windows are available:

  • 24 hours

  • 7 days

  • 30 days

You can run all three at once — the tightest one wins for any given deposit. Decreases take effect immediately. Increases enter a 48-hour cool-off during which the old limit still applies. We do not waive the cool-off, including by support request.

Loss Limits

The same three windows, but counted against net losses rather than deposits. When you hit the cap, real-money wagering blocks until the window rolls over. The cap is hard — there is no "extend just this once" prompt.

Wager Limits

A cap on total amount wagered per window. Useful for high-frequency low-stake play where deposits and losses look fine but session intensity creeps up.

Session Time Limits

Cap continuous logged-in play at 30, 60, 90, 120, 180 or 240 minutes. When you hit the cap, we log you out and lock the account for at least 60 minutes before you can sign back in.

Reality Checks

A pop-up reminder every 15, 30 or 60 minutes during play, showing time on site and net spend in AU$ for the session. You acknowledge and continue, or close the session. Default is off; we recommend turning it on at 30 minutes.

Taking a Break

If you need a pause without committing to full self-exclusion, Cool-Off locks the account for 24 hours, 7 days, 14 days or 30 days. During a cool-off you can't log in, deposit, place wagers or claim promotions. Any pending withdrawals continue to process normally. The block lifts automatically.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is heavier. The available durations are 6 months, 12 months, 5 years, or permanent. Once active:

  • We close all open sessions immediately.

  • We refund any unwagered deposit balance via the original method.

  • We forfeit any active bonus credit and any winnings derived from it.

  • We delete you from all marketing channels — no emails, SMS or push notifications.

  • We do not allow account re-opening before the period elapses, and a permanent exclusion is irrevocable.

If you self-exclude and we mistakenly let you back in earlier, contact [email protected] — that's a breach on our side and we treat it accordingly.

Age Verification and Underage Play

Winspirit is strictly for players 18 or over. Australian law makes underage gambling a serious matter, not a soft policy. Our KYC checks photo ID against date of birth at registration. If you share a device with someone under 18, install parental-control software on the device and don't save your password. Free tools include Net Nanny, Qustodio, and OpenDNS Family Shield.

Signs Play Has Stopped Being Fun

These aren't a diagnosis — they're a checklist. If three or more apply to you in the past month, consider acting on the tools above.

  • Chasing losses with deposits you weren't planning to make.

  • Hiding play from a partner, family member or housemate.

  • Borrowing money or using credit you'd ordinarily pay down to fund deposits.

  • Feeling restless or irritable when you cut back.

  • Skipping work, study or commitments to keep playing.

  • Lying about how much time or money you've spent.

Our Commitments

We will: enforce every limit you set without prompting you to lift it; never market to players in cool-off or self-exclusion; train all support agents on RG signals; respond to RG-flagged tickets ahead of general support; and publish annual RG metrics in our compliance report. The full programme lives under Compliance — you can email [email protected] for a copy.
